Last winter I had the amazing opportunity to participate in a styled shoot designed by the wonderful Aimee from Modernly Events. She brought together vendors from the metro Detroit area to create a totally unique look and feel for a wedding that I had never seen before. For those of you planning your fall or winter wedding right now – this is definitely a shoot you’ll want to pour over! Also, it was published on The Perfect Palette today, so you can check out a ton more photos there!
It incorporated jewel tones, gold, loose and gorgeous flower arrangements and a cake unlike any I had ever seen! I love getting to be a part of an event designer’s creative vision brought to life, it’s a truly special experience to see it all come together. One of the great things about “styled shoots” – or fake wedding photo shoots – is that we get to inspire couples in new unique directions that we are excited about. It’s also a great chance to collaborate with other local small business owners that I don’t get to spend time with, as I’m mostly holed up in my basement studio solo!

Gorgeous, right?! I love the unique dress, because let’s be honest white isn’t for everyone, and every little perfect detail that makes this shoot unique. Wedding design is all about reflecting your story in the little details, and I think this shoot does that spectacularly. Aimee at Modernly Events is so talented, and it was a joy to work with these spectacular vendors to make her vision come to life.
Also, as I do not offer stationary, I LOVE LOVE LOVE working with Alisa Bobzien. Her designs are AMAZING and every time I get to provide calligraphy for her clients I get a little geeked. So, if you are in the market for a stationer you should definitely hit her up!
