Marissa & Paul's Elopement - Meg Bosse Calligraphy

Over the past nearly 2 years I have had the pleasure of working with Marissa & Paul as their event planner with Ines & Marie Events. Their gorgeous wedding was set for April 2020 at Planterra Conservatory – all of the final details were nailed down and we were ready to go. But, as you know, the universe had other plans. We postponed their wedding more times than I care to count before we really knew how things would unfold this year, and ultimately they decided they wanted to just get married already and have the bigger celebration late next year.

I am SO GLAD that they made this decision, because we planned the most beautiful little elopement in Glen Arbor, MI in September. We fled up north since restrictions had been a little lighter up there, and it was also a total departure from their spring wedding. They had 8 of their nearest and dearest witness their vows on the mountaintop at The Homestead in Glen Arbor, then had an intimate dinner at Camp Firefly. They were blessed with the most beautiful Michigan fall weather, and I’m so excited to share a few pictures with you! I even made them some silk ribbon place cards as a gift, because after such a rough year I wanted to make something extra special for them.

And honestly, it was just so nice to witness a small group of people come together and celebrate during such a tumultuous time. There was laughter, plenty of wine, delicious food, and even an impromptu “first dance.” It gave me all of the warm fuzzies.
