Did you know that you can send a wedding invitation to the President and First Lady and get an actual response?! The Greetings Office responds to every invitation and announcement that comes through their inbox. I think that this is an amazing memento for the scrapbook, and totally worth the one minute it takes to add them to your invitation list (especially if you have some gorgeous calligraphy on that envelope!)

Here are a couple of ways to do it!

1.  Mail your invitation to this address:

The President & First Lady of the United States

The White House

Greetings Office, Room 39

1600 Pennsylvania Avenue NW

Washington, DC 20502

OR

2. Fill out THIS ONLINE FORM

You don’t even have to spend money on the invitation, you can just shoot off a simple online form and voila! How easy is that?

Pro tip: Just make sure you fill it out at least 6 weeks in advance of your special day if you would like to receive the greeting before your wedding!

Are you going to add the POTUS to your invite list? Are there any other celebrities or public figures you would love to send a shot-in-the-dark invite to, with the hopes of a response? I would love to hear about it! Please leave a comment below, and let’s chat!

P.S. If you’re in the midst of wedding planning, remember to be easy on yourself. Kick those feet up and have a glass (or three) of wine this weekend and enjoy every step, and add the President to that invite list!
